As an artist in NYC, I found painting in my apartment to be isolating, cramped, and all-around uninspiring. I wished I could bring my easel into a coffee shop, where I always enjoyed doing work on a laptop. It got me thinking- the art community in New York is missing the community, atmosphere and accessibility that coffee shops have always brought to the corporate world.

With that, Studio Gesso began.

I’m hoping this community can help artists connect and collaborate in the ways that I’ve always felt were missing. I also hope this platform can be a fun place for everyone to learn more about local artists, find new art and even begin collecting in a way that is unfussy, welcoming, and fun.

There is so much more to come. So glad you are here!
